Button block style preview color ignores theme colors #205

Describe the bug

In the buttons block sidebar inspector settings, the style options preview colors are wrong.

To reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to a page in the editor.
  2. Add a buttons block.
  3. See error in the inspector sidebar.

Expected behavior

The preview should match the output.

Additional context

  • Please add the version of WordPress you are using.

This is an open issue in Gutenberg (WordPress/gutenberg#21954). We'll implement a little workaround for now and patch it out once the issue is fixed upstream.

Update: the new HRSWP button block, which will replace the core block for the HRS theme, obviates this issue (see washingtonstateuniversity/hrswp-plugin-blocks#54).

This has been resolved, either by the HRS Blocks plugin or between 5.7.1 and 5.8.
