Today we had our seventh meeting.

  • deprecate Chrome's use of the term "layout viewport" #25
    • Name change preferable, as there are too many viewports
      • Extra mention of the ICB being a type of viewport, given that the viewport units are based on it
      • There’s even an extra viewport in the making: Snapshot Viewport
    • List of names to be compiled and issue to be filed at the CSSWG, asking for a better name.
  • clarify minimum-scale expansion for ICB vs. layout viewport #19
    • Highlighting this doc + demo page by @skobes
      • The demo differs from the other ones because it has a lot of horizontal overflow, which also behaves differently across browsers.

  • Will most likely move down a week due to unavailability of @bramus.

Just a note: the "snapshot viewport" is really more of an internal concept in View Transitions so not something I expect you to have to worry about. (It might be more accurate to call it a "snapshot rect")
