I like this page very much: https://platform.html5.org/

Now I know that I only know the basics, and that there is still a lot to discover.

Why are there no updates any more?

Is there a new or better overview pageg?

Just haven’t been able to make the time to keep it up to date. Please consider submitting patches to add anything you’ve noticed that’s missing but should be there.

The current set of specs that should be considered for including there are the ones included in https://w3c.github.io/mdn-spec-links/SPECMAP.json

I’ve thought about coming up with a way to automatically generate https://platform.html5.org/ from that https://w3c.github.io/mdn-spec-links/SPECMAP.json — but again, not been able to make the time to try it.

@sideshowbarker no hurry. I am happy that you are aware of this. Creating the overview might be a good solution. On the other hand specmap contains things which (at leas I) consider deprecated (for example xslt).

For better or worse, XSLT works in all browser engines and as far as I know, no browser projects have any plans to remove it. In fact, we have a long-standing issue about properly specifying it; see whatwg/dom#181.

And there are a number of other features like that which are part of the platform “for better or worse” at this point. The aim of https://platform.html5.org/ has always been to enumerate all the features that are part of the platform — including the ones we may not love so much.
