It does nothing; it is just a comment and I wish we'd remove it. See also #71. |
We could make it some kind of assert that the value previously returned is not equal to the value returned now. |

It doesn't appear to have any normative influence, if I'm reading its references correctly. In other words, it seems mostly informative but I'm not sure why? Must one include it APIs that return promises, and is there any consequence of not doing so?
