(Deleted other part of my question as I figured it out)
I was wondering how to depict a "bulkhead" type connection such as this DSUB9 to ribbon connector:
The numbering on one side of such a "compound" connector may or may not correspond to the numbering on the other side. For the sanity of users, manufacturers usually make the numbering the same, but not always (e.g. on vacuum feedthroughs, e.g. Allectra DSUB37).
The daisy-chaining feature doesn't apply here as it's physically two connectors with, I guess you could say, an "internal" cable.
Is there a way to document these more complicated interconnections in WireViz currently?
