What version of astro are you using?

1.5.2

Are you using an SSR adapter? If so, which one?

None

What package manager are you using?

npm

What operating system are you using?

Mac

Describe the Bug

  1. Create a Tailwind project.
  2. Rename tailwind.config.js to tailwind.config.cjs
  3. This is an invalid filename and will cause an error.
  4. Instead it crashes the server.
