resolution resets to 800x600 everytime I run the game

Hello,

I have tried to run and install your mod and I simply cannot find a way to make it run. I have tried the following things;

Installed the game, then the v242 patch, then a NoCD patch, and then the mod itself.

I have done exactly like in the instructions; extract the files to the game's directory and then change the rendercaps.ini [graphics] values to my desired resolution, but every time I run the game after doing so, the game always loads up in 800x600 and resets the values in the rendercaps.ini file. I also tried making the file as read-only but that didn't change anything.

I have attached a photo of my NFSHP2 Folder's contents, if that can help in any way.
