in fMRI analysis, probability maps are typically used in low resolutions, e.g. 3mm, and could then be fully instantiate in working memory. siibra so far assumes 1mm, which requires sparse matrix structures for anatomical assignment.
Probably, siibra could allow to fetch pmaps at 2-3mm as a dense 4D array. The physical resolution spec is already a parameters; but currently we do not distinguish sparse/dense explicitly.
