Hello Zed team 👋
One of the best features in VSCode is the ability to open and work on projects inside a WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) environment as if they were local — using Remote - WSL integration.
This feature lets Windows users:
Open projects stored inside their Linux distro directly from VSCode.
Edit, build, and run code using the Linux environment while keeping the editor running on Windows.
Avoid cross-environment issues (like path mismatches or permission problems).
It would be amazing if Zed could implement something similar — for example:
“Open Folder in WSL” or automatic detection of Linux-based workspaces (e.g. /home/user/project) from Windows.
This would make Zed much more accessible to developers who use Windows + WSL for modern dev setups (like Node, Python, Go, Rust, etc.).
Thanks for considering this! 🙌
