Is it possible to retain color of output when opening scrollback in default editor?

#1403 implements opening scrollback in default editor. When I use this to open the scrollback in my default editor of neovim, the color information is lost and I am left scrolling through monochrome text. (This is seen in the demo of the feature as well https://zellij.dev/news/edit-scrollback-compact/)

Is it possible to retain the color while opening the scrollback in neovim? tmux's copy mode shows the colored output and I want a similar experience when using zellij.
