Need more example of UART as I can see only console application which is very much self straight forward. Hence, UART1 and UART3 examples would be very helpful for serial device communication e.g., GPS, GSM modules using STM32 Nucleo boards UART pins or similar boards.

A sample test was present some time ago, but it has been moved to tests section and now is more adapted to extensive testing rather than simple (re-)use.
Re-instantiating a basic serial sample might indeed be a good idea.
