Un peu dans l'idée de la petite sœur de cette issue mais avec Django 1.10 : https://www.djangoproject.com/weblog/2016/aug/01/django-110-released/

En vrai, il va falloir attendre que nos dépendances soient compatibles, mais ça veut dire qu'il va vraiment falloir se bouger pour passer à Django 1.9 pour ne pas prendre trop de retard.
