OMEMO not working in Group chat #627

Hi!

I'm operating my own server and one of my friends uses Zom to communicate. Everyone else uses "Pix-Art", a "Conversations" fork on Android. When my friend writes a message in the group chat, they send in plaintext, eventhough the group is created as a OMEMO group by me (admin). Everyone else automatically communcates encrypted. Is there a setting he may have forgotten to enable? One on one chat works perfectly and is encrypted automatically. MAM is disabled.

I could not find a bug in this tracker that correctly fits my problem.

Hope to hear your suggestions :)

You need to enable group encryption settings, and then manually activate it for the group.

Just curious, why do you have MAM disabled?

Also, why do you like Pix-Art over the main Conversations app?

Thanks, it kinda worked. Some of my friends (including me don't receive messages though). I probably have to take a look at it myself, once I see them again.

My VPS has only 2GB of free space and as far as I understood, this imposes some limits for MAM, right?
I only have about 8 ppl on my server, is that going to be ok?

It's free and seems equal to Conversations.
