I was thinking about a Micro default editor

Maybe there can be something where when I can set code editors as my default like VSCode, there could be an option for micro

Default editors is handled by your operating system or desktop environment. For example on most Linux distros you can use the xdg-mime command-line tool to easily set default programs for various mime types, eg. xdg-mime default micro.desktop text/plain.

Thanks! I do use windows, but I have WSL, so maybe (just maybe) that might work.

If you just need it to be the default inside WSL terminal you can probably just set an environment variable export EDITOR=micro (you can put that in your .bashrc so it gets set every time you start bash), but having the default set inside WSL won't help if you are for example double clicking files in the file explorer.

I can't help much with Windows as I haven't used that in a very long time. I suspect it is not entirely straight-forward to configure it to use the micro executable from inside WSL as the default.

I could try to make it so that on Windows you can click "Open file with..." and then have Micro.

Ok, so in Windows, the micro.exe is stored in:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WinGet\Packages\zyedidia.micro_Microsoft.Winget.Source_8wekyb3d8bbwe\micro-<VERSION>\micro.exe
