IoT pump control for Vario pumps with 0 - 10 V interface.
Unassembled PCB in matching Spelsberg enclosure. (2021/06/06)
- 0 - 10 V interface for speed control of a Vario pump
- WiFi interface
- 1-wire interface for two DS18B20 temperature sensors
- 0 - 10 V input for a pressure sensor (alt. also 0 - 5 V or 4 - 20 mA possible)
- Switch input for operating mode preselection (AUTO - OFF - MANUAL)
- 5 LEDs for status visualization
- Wide range power supply (12 - 36 V)
The external control of the AquaVarioPlus can be activated in the setup menu of the pump. This is described in detail in the manual (of the BADU Eco Soft, which has the same control) on page 9 an 10. The "Steuerart" (control type) 0 - 10 V, code 3 is required.
Control board of the AquaVarioPlus pump from AquaTechnix.
The CN4 (pin 2) connector is provided for controlling the pump via the 0 - 10 V interface. See also Manual BADU EcoSoft on page 7.
pin# | function | specification | in use with VarioControl |
---|---|---|---|
1 | n/a | ✖️ | |
2 | rpm value (U) | 0 - 10 V | ✔️ |
3 | PWM | unknow specs? | ✖️ |
4 | rpm value (I) | 4 - 20 mA | ✖️ |
5 | GND | ✔️ |
The control via the "PWM" input I have experimented with a frequency generator with various settings, unfortunately without success. I believe that the software implementation and a corresponding preselection of the control type is missing here.
The plug used is probably a clone of the JST XH connector series, which has been modified to add an external locking mechanism. Plugs of this type are tricky to find, but an original XH plug from JST fits and holds very well.
