  • 👋 I'm Denis a retired electronic technologist. I used to develop hardware and software for seismic applications in mines.
  • 👀 Now I do similar work but for own projects. Mainly home automation related. I work in C but lately I'm dabbling with MicroPython.
  • 🌱 I’ve developed my own device to control things around the house which I call a HomeStat. I also have a more ambitious device
  • to control a wood stove called a StoveGuard. Its a bigger challenge but sitting in a rocker while watching the stove keep the
  • flames dancing nicely without choking or burning too intense is very rewarding.
  • 💞️ I’m not looking to collaborate as my development would require sharing custom hardware. I'm looking to commercialize anything
  • as there are serious safety issues around wood stove control and my insurance company were very clear about it.
