Given recent advances by nVida, perhaps the focus should be on supporting fleX, and the setup they describe in that paper. |
I'm closing this issue as I'm sure you all are well aware that MuJoCo is a great simulator yet other options would have their own advantages. I appreciate the effort in this repo toward advancing robotic manipulation. I just wanted to 'vote' for options that could extend the reach of this project. |
Merge latest public HEAD to robosuite-dev
While MuJoCo has advantages, $500 per year is a very high barrier to entry for many. It will severely limit any organic community of tutorials and blogs which could spring up around this repository.
Please consider support for an open source and free engine such as Bullet.
