I accidentally turned on the Show image creation progress every N sampling steps function in the settings, and now I can't tear myself away from the screen when images are being created. It is interesting to see how beautiful art is created from nothing.
It would be nice to be able to save some of the results of how an image is created as a frame-by-frame animation in gif format.

For minimum, there should be an option to save all intermediate generations.
Currently is was possible to use custom script to do this: #1026 (comment), but it's not very convenient.

If proper automatic saving will be implemented, creating gifs can be done even using third-party tools.

Combines a few different scripts in various GitHub issues with some
useful added features:

- This script is set to `scripts.AlwaysVisible`, meaning it can be run
  in combination with other scripts
- Intermediate images are saved using the same filename structure as the
final images, in a subdirectory called "intermediates". The custom script
in the wiki overwrites your intermediate images each time you generate
  new images
- Allows you to save every N images (defaults to 5)
- Allows you to save either denoised or noisy intermediate images
