Linux problem: Retention of variables does not work

I am trying to run some Monte Carlo simulations on Linux, and I am adding both messages and variables to the retention policy with retentionPolicy.addMessageLog() and retentionPolicy.addVariableLog() respectively. This works fine on both Windows and Mac, but not on Linux. Only having retentionPolicy.addMessageLog() seems to work fine on Linux, but there are some variables that need to be saved. When using retentionPolicy.addVariableLog() the code just stalls. I can see, that the retentionPolicy.addVariableLog() function results in calling the soon-to-be deprecated function AddVariableForLogging(). This might be the root to the problem, but I can't seem to figure out how to use the PythonVariableLogger in a Monte Carlo simulation.

Any and all help would be very appreciated :)

Edit: I have now also tried to run a single run (not Monte Carlo simulation) while using PythonVariableLoggers. This results in the error Segmentation fault (core dumped). Disabling the PythonVariableLoggers makes the code run fine.

I don't know specifically what the problem is, but the problem lies with Ubuntu 22.04. I downgraded to 20.04, and it seems to work now.

Interesting feedback. I was not aware of such issues with Ubuntu 22.04.
