I'm not sure if it's related to the issue, but recently I switched cell providers. I did not switch physical phones, however; I just switched SIM cards. Since the switch, I've noticed that the filtering has not been as good. When I went into settings, I saw that DNS had been turned off, letting the carrier determine the best settings. I turned it back on so that AdGuard would handle the DNS via VPN with AdGuard as the DNS provider. Still, the amount of data being blocked by ads has significantly been reduced, which is a puzzle. It seems that it should more or less stay the same because I am still using the same phone and apps. Although I don't know the technical reasons why, there is certainly a correlation between the time I switched carriers and the reduction of ads being blocked, rendering AdGuard as less effective.
