Check if the location service is already running

Every time if I restart the application, a new location service starts and count of the same locations increase.

    BackgroundLocation.startLocationService();
    BackgroundLocation.getLocationUpdates((dynamic position) =>

Same problem here on android, if the app is restarted I get the same position twice. My current workaround is

    BackgroundLocation.stopLocationService();
    BackgroundLocation.startLocationService();
    BackgroundLocation.getLocationUpdates((location) { ... });

Does this (also) mean that 'something is running' after the app is closed? (and using battery)
