didn't expect it to be merged immediately, unless you wanted to see it for yourself?
edit: nevermind, read that merge message in the wrong direction

the steps in build.yml were made as a simple proof of concept for using github actions. it would make a new release automatically (tagged using current date and time) with the zipped executable attached.

i didn't figure out how to follow the current tag naming strategy currently used.

I have some ideas, I'll see if I can make them work
