The basic issue is that we need to support a much larger set of NAMED_VALUE floats. They are very useful in LUA scripts for telemetry.
This is a terrible design pattern, but it was useful for a partner and it might be useful for others until the pattern can be changed to be less copy & paste of the same pattern? (I only had a very short turnaround on this one. So doing it properly by refactoring heavily was not in the cards.)
I will let you decide Michael the utility of this?
