What I expected

See alignment and justify option, just like for Paragraph block. Having both for parity would be good.

What happened instead

No alignment or justify option is available.

@jeyip did you make a start on this? It was "In progress" on the create focus maintainance board, I moved it back to needs triage but let me know if you've started on it.

Apologies for the late reply @roo2. Needs triage is the right place to put it. I didn't get this is to a workable state during my gardening rotation.

There was a new indication of this issue in the public forums. https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/help-to-justify-a-list-2/

I do not have a strong opinion on this feature and I never saw any interaction requesting it. At any rate, if we do add this, it should be added in core, right? Do you want to open a Gutenberg issue, @zdenys?

Yes. Indeed, initially I had posted at WordPress/gutenberg#17738 (comment)

Given the low priority of this, I won't right now. I may later, but feel free to do it if you feel like 🥇 😄

Given that the upstream issue has been closed I'm just going to close this one too.

@mrfoxtalbot mrfoxtalbot closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Apr 19, 2024
