This PR uses
git revertto revert commit 160c41d#diff-be6f001a81a6f9b1d1be33c6bde0c13d358f3f01522e9a0544b42102e3701f3aI skipped the CHANGELOG changes intentionally. We'll need to add a new CHANGELOG entry when we switch back to v1.
