Windows 64-bit binaries.
New Functionality
When running more than one copy of Minimalist Media Player, e.g. to compare different resolutions of the same movie, you would typically use Ctrl-9 to arrange up four (it used to be 9) MMP windows so they can be viewed simultaneously. You can now press [V] to synchronize the [V]ideos so they're all playing from the same point in the video. Although [T]abbing through a video will effect all the windows, they can still get out of sync depending on how fast they (and MPV) respond on your machine. [V], is therefore handy for when they're out of sync. You can reposition the video in any of the windows (e.g. by tabbing or by clicking on the progress bar) and then press [V] for them all to play from the same point.
A minimalist playlist can be displayed/hidden by pressing [P]. The playlist will resize itself to the media window for aesthetic purposes and will stay attached to the media window if it is moved or resized. You can scroll or page up and down the playlist with the up and down arrow keys or with the Page Up and Page Down buttons on your keyboard, or with the mouse wheel. A highlighted playlist item can be played by pressing ENTER. Or, you can double click any entry in the playlist to start playing it. The currently playing item will be highlighted.
Tweaks and Fixes
Essential Files (unzip all to the same folder):
MinimalistMediaPlayer_release_v1_0_10.zip
(I strongly recommend that you do not download this file from any source other than Github)
mediaInfo.zip
This contains the new v23.09 of MediaInfo.dll - You may stick with the previous version if you wish.
N.B. You don't need to download this file again if you already downloaded it for a previous version.
libmpv-2.zip
This contains the build from 2023/09/17 - You may stick with your current version if you wish.
N.B. You don't need to download this file again if you already downloaded it for a previous version.
(If you have a lower-spec machine (or you have any issues at all with playback), you may prefer this version of libmpv-2.dll):
This contains the build from 2023/09/17 - You may stick with your current version if you wish.
N.B. You don't need to download this file again if you already downloaded it for a previous version.
If you prefer, the latest version of libmpv-2.dll can be downloaded directly from. e.g. https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpv-player-windows/files/libmpv/ - the file marked "v3" is for higher spec machines.
N.B. The very latest "nightly" builds don't work with Minimalist Media Player. I have raised this issue with the builders.
Optional Files:
You need this file if you want the "file delete" functionality. Without this file, no file deletions will occur even if you confirm them.
N.B. You don't need to download this file again if you already downloaded it for a previous version.
All comments and suggestions for additional functionality will be well received over on the Discussions page https://github.com/BazzaCuda/MinimalistMediaPlayerX/discussions
