  1. uses Allen's Interval Algebra in the KB.Value merge implementation 

    The Allen's Interval Algebra gives an exhaustive set of 13 distinct
relationships between two intervals that makes writing the merge
operation much easier and less error prone. We also extend the
algebra to the relation between a point and an interval to handle
singleton ranges.
