To reproduce
create a simple table with two columns
add a third formula column that concatenates the other two fields
change fields -> change not reflected to the formula column

For further context, this happens only when adding a formula to a column that is being created for the first time - a page refresh will display the values.

Any changes to an existing formula field will update immediately.

Just to add as well, if you have a formula field called c that has the formula a + b, updating either a or b will not updated the total displayed in c until a refresh. I'll have a fix up soon.
