Bush/Rubio/Cruz Donor Movement Analysis

This repository contains data and code to estimate the number of donors who previously gave to one candidate, but then switched to another. The findings support the February 1, 2016 BuzzFeed News article, "The Jeb Bush → Marco Rubio Donor Shift Is Real And It’s Accelerating"

Data

The data comes from candidates' official campaign committees' quarterly filings with the Federal Election Commission.

Reproducing the Findings

The findings should be entirely reproducible via this Jupyter/IPython notebook. Requirements: OSX/Linux running Python 3, plus the libraries listed in requirements.txt.
