Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Bring up Cate Desktop
  2. From menu select View / Toggle Developer Console
  3. Open any geo-referenced ECV so it is displayed on the 3D globe
  4. From VIEW panel, select New World View
  5. Switch back to first view that display the ECV --> The ECV layer disappears
  6. Find the Developer Console displaying

This is what we get in Cate Desktop 1.0 with React 15. With React 16, the entire UI disappears.
