User Story

As somebody using the eCR Viewer, I want to see plain language condition names, so that I can more quickly and easily scan condition-related information in eCRs

Acceptance Criteria

  • Review implementation proposal with development team before executing
  • Plain condition name added to database condition table
  • Plain condition name extracted from message parsing schemas for core and extended
  • The following locations show the Condition Name, not Condition Description:
    • eCR Library Table
    • eCR Library condition filters
    • eCR Summary - Reportable Conditions
    • eCR Metadata - Reportability Summary table
  • Automatically convert Condition Description to Condition name using the data in this spreadsheet
  • Figure out a way for us to be able to update the condition list if RCKMS releases an update to the spreadsheet
  • If missing plain language name from our spreadsheet, just display the condition description

Additional context

For some reason, RRs only include the "Code Description" column data, and not the "Condition" column data. the Condition info is much more readable/scannable, so we want to convert Code Descriptions to Conditions in our Viewer:

The spreadsheet is available from CSTE directly here. If you can't access that link, try the following options:

  • You can access the spreadsheet directly from RCKMS by clicking RCKMS Content Release Materials on this page then clicking on the spreadsheet called RCKMS Condition Codes
  • Also put it in this google sheet

Not updating the bundle, just changing the display codes.

Nix the above! Updating the bundle to contain codes is the move. Adding an extension via the TCR should be the way to do this.

We would also want to add the plain condition name to the condition table (it will make query filtering much easier)
