This project is a web implementation of the famous Naval Battle game. It relies on JAVA Spark for the web framework & websockets for the realtime updates with the backend.
The application is hosted on Heroku at the following address if you want to test the game (sorry for non-french users).
This project uses notify.js to notify other players of the game changes.
The master branch is deployed on heroku at this link. It is not persistent yet, so you will need to avoid refreshing the page. You just need to create a game, share the id with the other player, and both choose your boats position. Once this is done, the game will run between different pages. The end of game modal is not implemented yet, the game lacks a bit of information (notifications), and could be prettier but it is coming soon.
You just run Webapp.java and connect to localhost:4567/
- Handle end of game redirection modal
- Add an animation at the end of game for the winner --> confetti ?
- Improve boat's placing with directly all drag and drop boats present on the first modal
- Show on player's board where the other is firing
- Change color of boat if it is sunk
- Suppress the cross on the modal to let no other choice but to choose the boats position
- Try to make it a little prettier
