Nodes 2.0: Load Audio node is broken

Prerequisites

• I am running the latest version of ComfyUI
• I have searched existing issues to make sure this isn't a duplicate
• I have tested with all custom nodes disabled (see how)

What happened?

When using Modern Node Design (Nodes 2.0), the Load Audio node is not working as expected. The option to "choose file to upload" is gone.

By turning off Nodes 2.0 the option to upload file comes back.

2.Add Load Audio node on a workflow
3.Broken

This is a known limitation with Nodes 2.0 (Modern Node Design) in ComfyUI: some core nodes, including Load Audio, may have missing or hidden UI elements like the "choose file to upload" button. This happens because the new Vue-based node system only renders the upload button if the node's spec advertises the audio_upload property, and the Load Audio node may not be flagged correctly in Nodes 2.0. The classic UI still injects the upload button, which is why it works when you disable Nodes 2.0. Reference

A workaround is to switch back to the classic node UI until Nodes 2.0 is more feature-complete. If you are customizing nodes, you can manually add an optional input named audioUI of type AUDIO_UI to the node's inputs to restore the upload UI:

There are ongoing frontend updates to improve UI responsiveness and asset handling, but as of v1.33.10, this issue is not fully resolved. If you experience crashes, try disabling browser extensions, clearing cache, or using a different browser, as Chrome/Chromium is known to have more frontend regressions with Nodes 2.0. Reference

For now, using the classic UI is the most reliable workaround.
