Reroute Nodes and Wires Should Inherit Upstream Output Color

Feature Idea

It would be really helpful if reroute nodes and their connecting wires could automatically inherit the color of the output they’re receiving. It would make large graphs much easier to read and keep the visual logic consistent throughout the workflow.

i would call that more like a "bug" ...the feature you want (and me too) is already in comfy since years. and if you connect nodes directly they seem to stick to the correct colors. but as soon as the classic reroutes are in the line the colors are bugged. the last updates have also killed rgthree´s reroute nodes which are super flexible with the direction option.

it looks like comfy now has this round type reroute nodes. seems they stick to the line colors ...but they are creepy.

I am happy that those new dots were implemented, I just wish there was a key combination instead of right click to create the dot. But yes you are right the lines do inherit the colors but break as soon as you reroute and try to organise the workflow. I hope someone will address the issue and we can create workflows that are easy to ready.

I'm aware of this issue and have had on my todo list for about a week now.

Are you aware you can create the new reroutes (dots) by alt+clicking on a link?

Hi, thanks for trying to fix the issue, I look forward to use it. And no, I wasn't aware you could use the shortcut or to be honest I was actually trying ctrl key, thanks for highlighting that!
