✍️ Describe the bug

When picking a date for an entry, the date it is saved under is not what the user tapped in the date picker entry - it is 1 day behind.

💣 Steps to reproduce

  1. Tap + button to start an entry
  2. Write a title
  3. Tap the date picker
  4. Select a date on the calendar, for example the 27th
  5. The date picker will show that you chose the 26 instead

🔧 Expected behavior

It is expected for the calendar widget to send the tapped date to the date field.

Thanks for your bug report and the kind words. 👍

I am not able to reproduce that behaviour though. May you please elaborate and share screenshots or a screencast?

Below is a Screencast, I will delete this after a few days for privacy. I wanted to demonstrate on a clean install but I couldn't figure out how to do that with the Backup and Restore options - where is the backup file?

  1. I tap the + button to create a new entry
  2. I click on the date field
  3. The calendar widget opens
  4. I pick a date, the 28
  5. After I click "ok", the date field shows the 27 (1 less than what I chose)

Thanks for the screencast, @EdMaxPrime.
Now we see what you mean.

We are not able to reproduce it on four different devices though.

What language and regional settings are active on your device?

English (US) is the system language. Which regional settings interest you?

I see temperature (°C or °F) and the first day of the week on my device in the regional options. Let us know if you have more.

Do I understand correctly that the issue occurs on every date you try?

Yes, the issue occurs on every date I try. The only time it does not happen is when I do not interact with the date picker. The result is as expected, the current date.

I do not experience this issue in other apps like Track and Graph, nor Calendar.
