VT 1.1.x Features and Changes

Some of these statements are forward-looking as there is no 1.1 RC yet.

  • PMPI tracing of MPI calls that occur outside of VT.

  • Zoltan LB (?)

  • Detailed statistic collection, such as number of messages, average message size.

  • NVCC (10.1 and 11) compiler support.

  • Automatic selection of message serialization. VT 1.0 the message had to be explicitly send using different methods to prevent or force/allow serialization.

  • Major termination detector improvements, such as vt::IntegralSet which reduces memory and speed to tracking epoch collection

  • Diagnostics?
