init - adds a .git folder that turns a directory into a git repository

clone - puts github repository onto your pc

add - adds a file or folder to be ready for staging

commit - makes the page or folder you added permantly changed to that branch

checkout -b - creates a new branch in your repository

push - puts changes on a branch up to your github repository
