Error: compute_deps_pkg failed to lookup pkgname for graphics/vulkan-loader processing package rpcs3-0.0.5.821 from emulators/rpcs3 -- Is SUBDIR+=vulkan-loader missing in graphics/Makefile and does the port provide the '' FLAVOR?

AUTHOR: kde@FreeBSD.org

  USES=cmake now supports two additional list variables:
    * CMAKE_ON : List of variables to turn on
    * CMAKE_OFF : List of variables to turn off
  This can be used as a shortcut to append these to CMAKE_ARGS.

  For example ports that previously set
    CMAKE_ARGS=		-DVAR1:BOOL=TRUE -DVAR2:BOOL=TRUE -DVAR3:BOOL=FALSE
  can now set this as
    CMAKE_ON=		VAR1 VAR2
    CMAKE_OFF=		VAR3

It fails to build with GCC >= 8:

cc1: error: unrecognized command line option '-fdump-translation-unit'

and is no longer actively developed.

This is deprecation attempt #2 after GCC 7 has gone EOL. Nobody
has taken over maintainership since last time and -fdump-translation-unit
is not coming back. devel/apitrace is a potential replacement.

The workaround is to optimize for POWER7, which supports necessary features in hardware. This will break run-time for older CPU's, but at least we can get this port running on POWER7 and newer.

While upstream issue is in userland driver FreeBSD kernel driver may
fail to handle it gracefully e.g.,

valpackett pushed a commit that referenced this pull request Feb 27, 2022
Tuesday, 22 February 2022. Today KDE releases a bugfix update to KDE
Plasma 5, versioned 5.24.2.

Plasma 5.24 was released in February 2022 with many feature refinements
and new modules to complete the desktop experience.

This release adds a week's worth of new translations and fixes from
KDE's contributors. The bugfixes are typically small but important and
include:

   * Plasma Desktop Hot New Stuff: Only trust the expiration date if
     it’s less than 24 hours.
   * Emoji Selector: Use a more appropriate icon for the Symbols page.
   * Don’t install two copies of kcm_fontinst.
