Note
You may be aware that the RenderDragon shader list has not been updated recently.
Yes, I am a 17-year-old high school student living in South Korea, and this means that I have much less personal time due to exams and academic work. Especially, when I turn 18, the "College Scholastic Ability Test" (CSAT), a crucial exam in the lives of many Koreans, will be approaching, which means even less time can be dedicated here.
The RenderDragon shader list has been the longest and most popular project I've worked on, and I have invested a tremendous amount of time in it (though this is from the perspective of a Korean high school student. Many shader developers constantly dedicate countless hours to their projects).
However, I am now exhausted. There are many things I need to focus on, there are no further changes to mobile shaders, and the development of deferred shaders has been halted since the start of the Deferred Technical Preview development.
The time I can dedicate to "Minecraft" has been reduced to a quarter of what it used to be, and in this situation, the ever-growing RenderDragon shader list has left me feeling fatigued.
Yes, I will no longer be maintaining the RenderDragon shader list.
It's true that this document has been helpful to many users, but the fact that such a widely used document has been updated regularly by just one person without any profit was a miracle.
Now, I plan to focus more on my personal matters and explore and develop other PBR resource packs like Aether PBR.
If you wish to use the RenderDragon shaders, I recommend clicking the banner and downloading them from the original creator’s website, Discord, or YouTube channel.
There are still a few developers who are actively working on RenderDragon, and they are keeping the scene alive.
The RenderDragon Shader List is a GitHub repository that compiles information about RenderDragon. It was created to address the difficulty for existing Bedrock users to access information due to a new and unfamiliar approach. Additionally, it serves the purpose of distinguishing the information from other fake RenderDragon shaders.
Since the list is manually curated by individuals, there may be occasional mistakes or delays in updates. Users can report issues, unupdated information, list errors, or restrictions on the Issues page. Contributions to translating the list into more languages are also welcome through Pull Requests.
According to Minecraft Wiki, it's a new rendering engine made for Minecraft Bedrock edition which replaces old OpenGL/DirectX engine.
Since its introduction, third-party shaders have become unusable, and therefore users are developing and advancing RenderDragon shaders by modifying Minecraft's Material files themselves.
Note
Unlike in the past, Discord now periodically changes the links to files, which may result in direct file links showing the message This content is no longer available.
. In this case, please access Discord directly to download the files.
Warning
Do not use 9Minecraft
. Fake RenderDragon shaders are mixed in, and shaders are being distributed without the creator's permission.
Most importantly, the site may pose a virus and security risk.
Never use it and inform those around you about the dangers.
