On July 17, 2023, Google Cloud announced the deprecation of Cloud Life Sciences (beta), setting its end-of-life date for July 8, 2025. Google Cloud has introduced Batch as a generally available service, recommending it as the comprehensive successor for all use cases covered by Cloud Life Sciences. Reference: Google Cloud migration guide.

Given the impending transition, there is an ongoing integration for Cromwell to support Google Batch (see relevant GitHub pull request here). This raises a pertinent question regarding the update for Caper to ensure compatibility with Google Batch. Could the development team provide insight into whether there are plans to update Caper to interoperate with Google Batch, in line with developments in Cromwell?

Thanks!
