In the PvP universe, the "South Bug" is known for giving a reach advantage to a player positioned to the south. It is caused by an approximation error in version 1.8 of Spigot during position updates and will be fixed in version 1.9 with the use of EntityTracker.a.
It provides a significant advantage in critical fights and needs to be fixed for version 1.8, which is primarily used for PvP.
