Note that all other toolhead PCBs are impossible to design for due to the width of the LGX Lite #13

Thank you for the PSA! |
You can use the following fan PCB: https://github.com/Ramalama2/Voron-2-Mods/tree/main/SB_LGXlitePCB/PCB |
Hi Yohan,
Thanks for your work and sharing.
Would the 2 piece version work with mellow sb2040 two piece canbus board?
It think the form factor is about the same as the hartic two piece PCB.

I'm using that with this LGX Lite mount and created slightly wider cable
door, but it doesn't require a special StealthBurner

@ChaosBlades im not sure i'd agree it is absolutely possible to mount the 2 part one with an lgx lite.. as i've done here.. i will be reprinting the front though since it now has mounting holes which will be nice. |
@th3fallen Thanks for the pictures and feedback. Looking good with TAP too ;-) 👍 Would you be up to sharing exactly which parts / mounts you did use with the specific links? So I'm starting to think there are different STLs (revisions maybe) that work for some and not for others, depending on what they do. The below indicated "mounts" for the HartK PCB board seems to be for either an old version of the board or a non 2pc-stealthburner version that I haven't seen before: Even still, if the latest version is the one to use, then I'm not able to make it fit. Your images show the 2PC PCB hartk board for Stealth Burner that I know (and have lying around). Am I maybe missing something entirely here? |
@Jaans oh no I don’t have it mounted with his new front yet I’m actually modding the cad now I’ll share when it works. I was attempting to show that it’s not impressive as the title leads you to believe |
@Jaans here is the first modified version it works, but i want to shift the board up about a mm https://p181.p1.n0.cdn.getcloudapp.com/items/7KujEnwe/8030095d-fbfb-4a86-a0c1-8ef56562f6ae.stl?v=05dcd7b5a0a1203766181709110b5891 |
I am about to do CAN overhaul, do you think you will do a version that incorporates EBB36 / EBB42? |
@th3fallen is the mod support fly-sb2040 2 pcs pcb? I'm using this mod at the moment https://www.printables.com/model/348581-voron-stealthburner-lgx-lite-mellow-sb2040 , but soon will need the filament sensor for ercf. |
this might be interesting to you: https://github.com/BondtechAB/Voron/tree/main/Voron_2.4-VT-SW/LGX_lite/STL/SB-LGX_lite-Ebb36 |
In order to save the time of anyone else that tries to get any of the other toolhead PCBs to work... you can't for the following reasons.
2 piece Stealthburner PCB - This will never work because the LGX Lite pushes the PCB out and there is no way to get the pins to align on the fan PCB. Pretty sure you couldn't even adjust the position of the fan mount PCB because then one of the mounting holes would be inside the 5015 fan housing. The PCB and fan housing would need to be modified to move the connector over. You can't even design a custom LGX Lite case to move the PCB in because the gears are in the way.
Afterburner PCB - While this is possible on the CW2 (LDO has a bracket) this is almost impossible on the LGX mod for the same reason as the 2 piece Stealthburner PCB. I say almost because you might be able to do it but you would need to extend the entire outer housing including the door, CW2, and possibly fan shroud. Then create another bracket similar to the LDO one that mounts to the side of the LGX Lite. All of this effort isn't worth the ~$15 the correct PCB costs.
