Description

After #157, I discussed whether we could remove postCheck() w/ the team because I think it's not enough just to propagate error after checkTx(). I think we need to guarantee to add a tx to mempool if checkTx() is success because checkTx() is not pure function. The team aligned to remove postCheck().

How to remove postCheck()

During postCheck(), it checks mempool.isFull() again and also checks GasWanted is valid.

  • For mempool.isFull(), I introduced reserve concept for mempool.
  • For GasWanted validation, it will be implemented in lbm-sdk as an ante handler. I described it as a CONTRACT in comments.

Future work (lbm-sdk)

  • We need to validate GasWanted during ante handlers.

For contributor use:

  • Wrote tests
  • Updated CHANGELOG_PENDING.md
  • Linked to Github issue with discussion and accepted design OR link to spec that describes this work.
  • Updated relevant documentation (docs/) and code comments
  • Re-reviewed Files changed in the Github PR explorer
