Beta release with several important bugfixes

We addressed reported problems with longer reads (>127bps) and alignment issues for reads containing insertions or deletions.

This release contains several bugfixes to these problems that drastically improve alignment quality, we hence strongly recommend to update to this version.

Switched to GNU compiler collection as default compiler as this generally reduces issues with OMP libraries reported by users.
