The experiment types that are available in LingoTurk are a collection of common use cases for experiments such as simple text panels or star rating panels. Here, we present a list of currently existing experiment types. You can simply copy and modify them the way you need it.

Experiment types that are available at the moment:

  • DiscourseConnectives: participants are asked to read a text and drag and drop connectives relating to the text into three boxes: 'not relevant', 'valid connective', 'can't decide'.
  • NewDiscourseConnectives: participants are asked to drag and drop a connective into a box between sentences.
  • ElicitingParaphrases: participants are asked to rewrite a text in their own words in a box that's presented below the text.
  • LinkingV1: participants are asked to link text in boxes on the left to text in boxes on the right.
  • LinkingV2: participants are asked to link text in boxes on the left to text in boxes on the right.
  • PictureNaming: participants are asked to read text and look at a picture, and then describe that picture.
  • Plausibility: participants are asked to rate the plausibility of a text on a scale of 1 to 5.
  • Rephrasing: participants are asked to read a text and then determine whether a paraphrase of that text is accurate (yes/no question).
  • SentenceCompletion: participants are asked to read a sentence and complete it.
  • StoryCompletion: participants are asked to read a story and complete it with two sentences.
