Sidebar starts opened and does not close when navigating to page

Current Behavior

The sidebar starts in the open state when you open the application in mobile/tablet view and it does not close when clicking on the navigation links within.

Expected Behavior

The sidebar should start collapsed and should close whenever a navigation link is clicked or whenever it's clicked outside of the menu.
