+1 for this. UK users are more likely to use a shopping basket, rather than a shopping cart. Something like this would be good - http://www.endlessicons.com/free-icons/shopping-basket-icon/

From the duplicate request I inadvertently opened:

In the UK we don't use shopping carts, we call them trolleys and to a number of people that distinction matters. So on e-commerce sites, we tend to have "Your basket" rather than "your cart."

Why don't e-commerce sites just use "trolley?" I think it's because physical trolleys have an association with supermarket shopping: Almost all other shops use baskets. An unscientific poll of a few friends came up with 2 associations for "trolley." "Supermarkets" and "they never work properly." [Paraphrased to keep the conversation polite.]

So please, please, give us a basket icon.

That's good news, thank you Tagliala :)
How many releases is 5.0.0 away?

@tagliala Why make us wait until 5? This icon is already long needed and is one of the most commented issues. You claim to have "resolved" the most commented requests, clearly an innacurate claim. If you're looking for curtesy, why not show some to 123+ users who have taken the time to suggest a 'useful' improvement to FA?

@Sironfoot that's got nothing to do with it. OS is by its nature community driven!
Without the community it's nothing, when when such a large part of the community are ignored for so long, backs get up!
