Apache 2.2 appears to requrie the "RewriteEngine on" line within the directory definition. Without it, the rewrite rules in the directory definition are ignored.
* remove eronius '>' from regexes for custom properties * add extra comments to custom proeprty regexes * Changes regexs for extension properties so that although whitespace is allowed in key and value pairs, it is not allowed to trail or lead the key or value.
Whitespace is trimmed fromt eh start and end of extension properties. This was previously in the controller layer. It is more appropiate for it to be in the model layer. This also allows the write API to make use of it.
