AirBnB_clone

This is the first step towards building your first full web application: the AirBnB clone. This first step is very important because you will use what you build during this project with all other following projects: HTML/CSS templating, database storage, API, front-end integration…

• put in place a parent class (called BaseModel) to take care of the initialization, serialization and deserialization of your future instances.
• Simple flow of serialization/deserialization: Instance <-> Dictionary <-> JSON string <-> file.
• Classes used for AirBnB (User, State, City, Place…) that inherit from BaseModel.
• Abstracted storage engine of the project: File storage.
• unittests to validate all our classes and storage engine.

Physical sight

In the physical view the multiple components are represented in a distributed way according to how they interact with each other. Initially we have the web application that runs thanks to a web server and another one that deploys an application server that contains web services.

• Create - create an object
• Chow - show an object (based on id)
• Destroy - destroy an object
• All - show all objects, of one type or all types
• quit/EOF - quit the console

Installation

git clone https://github.com/Gaspela04/AirBnB_clone.git

To start, navigate to the project folder and enter ./console.py in the shell.

Console Commands

Function name	Command	Description
create <class name>	create BaseModel	Create instance of BaseModel and saves it to the JSON file.
show <class name> <object id>	show User my_id	Prints the string represenation of an instance based on the class name and id
destroy <class name> <object id>	show User my_id	Delete instance for the class name and id.
show <class name> <object id>	destroy Place my_place_id	Prints the instance based on the class name and id
all or all <class name>	all or all State	Prints all representations of all instances.
quit or EOF	create BaseModel	Exit the console.
help or help <command>	help or help quit	lists all commands.
update <class name> <id> <attribute name> "<attribute value>"	update BaseModel	Updates an instance based on the class name and id.
