Symptoms

  • The path appears to be significantly off course when compared with tests at school for no apparent reason

Diagnosis

  1. The path appears to be significantly off course when compared with tests at school for no apparent reason

  2. Review auton footage to make sure there were no collisions if so, continue

  3. Make sure that you aligned the robot correctly

Solutions

  • Make sure the robot was aligned properly before the match

  • Ensure that issues such as Swerve Drive Skew have been fixed. See: Swerve Drive Skewing When Rotating and Translating Does not apply to Tank Drives

  • If you are using vision ensure that it is calibrated and accurate

  • Make sure it is set to the correct alliance side of the field

  • Odds are, the field you were testing on was marked wrong see Field Markings for how to mark the field more accurately
